We’ve been running sports tours for more than 25 years, and Valkenburg is one of our favourite locations.

It’s only 4 hours from Calais so travel is easy. Everything is within walking distance, so your team can easily and safely explore this enchanting town. There are also fantastic sports facilities with plenty of local teams, so you’re guaranteed competitive fixtures.

Two days of intensive coaching and local fixtures culminate in the MasterClass tournament. With 600 students competing across the range of sports, it’s an exhilarating atmosphere. Join us on an upcoming tour.

Itinerary

• Day 1

  Details

  • Meet your coach and driver who will be with you for the duration of your tour. Transfer to Dover/Folkstone for your Channel crossing to Calais, from where you will drive to Holland and the Southern town Valkenburg to check into one of the many hotels we use (TBC) for four nights on a full board basis. Valkenburg is a small, pedestrianized town, full of shops and restaurants.

• Day 2

  Details

  • This morning all football/hockey/netball/rugby squads transfer to Maastricht for your first coaching session with our UK professional coaches. Return for your hot lunch and some free time to explore town or perhaps take part in a local excursion (supplements will apply), transferring later in the day to play your first matches:

    

  • Match 1: Local football/hockey/rugby teams vs. Your School

    

  • Following your fixtures, return to your accommodation for the evening.

• Day 3

  Details

  • Following breakfast served in your hotel, enjoy your second full sports day, with coaching from UK professional coaches in the morning. Following your coaching session, enjoy some free time in town and take in a local excursion (supplements will apply), before making your way to your second fixtures:

    

  • Match 2: Local football/hockey/rugby team vs. Your School

    

  • Following your fixtures, return to your accommodation for the evening.

• Day 4

  Details

  • Taking a packed lunch with you, the full group board the coach to take part in your local excursion (supplements will apply). Then, transfer straight to your MasterClass Tournament venues for your afternoon tournaments.

    

  • Tournament: Football, Hockey and Netball Tournaments. Tournament entry is subject to there being suitable competition. If no competition is available, you'll receive additional coaching.

  • An awards presentation, including player of the week winners, will follow the tournament, before you transfer back to your hotel for a hot evening meal. All schools then transfer to a local hotel for the MasterClass Disco!

    

• Day 5

  Details

  • Rise early for breakfast and load your coach. Travel through to Calais for your return Channel crossing, and make your way back to school. Upon arrival at school your tour arrangements will end.
